This is an interview with Dougherty Marketing founder, Doug Dougherty.

Doug Dougherty is a marketing strategist and consultant who has worked with the likes of Intel, Target, Hewlett-Packard, Disney, and others, and is the author of three books on marketing.

Doug, I like all of the things you say in your interview, and I’m a big fan. We’ve been talking about this sort of thing for a while. I’d love to get a chance to talk to you about what you’ve been doing lately! I’m sure you can see that I’m not the only one who has been watching you work.

The problem is that Ive been busy working on the site, and because marketing is my main responsibility, I dont really have time to chat with anyone about my marketing plans. But I thought that because you are one of the best marketing minds in the world, I thought you would appreciate the opportunity to learn a little about what I do.

Recently Ive been busy trying to figure out if there are any ways to turn the whole SEO-community into one big marketing machine. It would be great to have some help in figuring out how to make that happen.

To get started, I thought a good place to start is with the Google Webmaster Guidelines for the Web. It states that “You want to make the Web the best it can be, so that the people who visit your Web site are the best people you can make it.” I think if we all had a better understanding of what makes a site “the best it can be” we would have a better chance of making the Web the best it can be.

The Google Webmaster Guidelines are one of the most important pages on our website. The purpose of this is to help users of Google’s webmaster tools better understand the various settings they can use to optimize their sites. It also gives webmasters tools that they can use to make their sites more user-friendly for visitors.

If you’re not familiar with the Google Webmaster Guidelines, this document is a bit of a primer on how this site works, what is allowed and what is not. It’s not a legal document so it’s not really very useful for finding out what’s legal and what isn’t unless you’re a law firm or a lawyer.

One thing that can be useful is a tool called “Google Webmaster Tools,” which is available from your webmaster tools dashboard. It lets you get a list of the 10-20 most popular websites on the web (and their ranking within the search engines).
