One of the great things about making decisions is that they are a form of decision-making. They are not just a one-time thing. They become a habit, so that when you stop, you aren’t just stopping to think, but to make a decision.

This is a trick question. I could make a list of the great things about making decisions. But I think I’d end up with a bunch of things you would think I’d like to stop doing. So I’ll just say my favorite is making decisions when you’re hungry. A decision to go to bed early, even before you know the time, is a decision to stop thinking about what you want to do and simply eating.
