The most prevalent belief that we hold about business is that it’s all about strategy. This is wrong. I believe that the best strategy is to listen to our gut and follow our intuition.

If you want to be successful in business, you have to be able to understand the people who surround you. You have to understand their needs and then apply that knowledge to make sure that the process runs smoothly. While strategy is often about organization, it is about much more than that. Strategy is about what is best for the company overall, as well as for the people. It is about the culture and process that exists in the company.

Strategy is about understanding your customer’s needs and then acting accordingly. The best way to become successful is to know yourself and your customers well enough to make sure that you are always delivering on your promise.

Strategy is about creating and executing a plan. It is not about following a set script. A good strategy is flexible and dynamic, not inflexible and static. A great strategy is flexible and dynamic, not inflexible and static.

Strategy is simply the process of taking a problem and trying to solve it. It doesn’t mean you are going to solve the problem, or even that you should solve the problem. Instead of trying to solve a problem your organization should be trying to find the best way to solve that problem. If you can’t find that way, there is no point in even trying. You might be able to find a way to solve the problem for which your company is already a winner.

To be really effective, your business process must be designed to take into account all kinds of variables. Your business has to be able to react to change like a well-designed computer.

What if you have a very specific business problem which you know can be solved. You know your company is good at being able to solve the problem, and you know that this problem happens often enough that it’s not a big deal.

Well, unless it happens with a high frequency, that business problem doesn’t really have any business sense at all. That’s why the business process you designed, the one which got you to this point, is a bad one and should be changed. It’s your problem – and you probably don’t even know what you’re talking about, unless your process was designed to solve the problem.
